Single Review | Troye Sivan - Talk Me Down

Troye Sivan
Talk Me Down - Single
EMI / Capitol
Release date: October 15, 2015

By Shawal Ras

South-African born and Australian native vocalist, Troye Sivan, has released the first single off his forthcoming debut album, Blue Neighbourhood.

'Talk Me Down', a mid-tempo gem written together with Leland, Hope, Bram Inscore, and Emile Haynie, is a somber track than his previous cuts; 'WILD' and 'FOOLS'.

It's pretty great, to be honest. Sivan sang the lyrics in such a beautiful way, saying how he misses his lover to come and calm him down (with the lips that "...still know their way around").

I'm pretty sure the music video will be the third instalment of his Blue Neighbourhood video anthology. Vimal has already called dibs to review all three together, so yea, it's coming real soon!

The pre-order for Blue Neighbourhood LP has already begun few days ago. The album expected to fully drop on December 4 via EMI and Capitol. In the meantime, you can listen to this single and two LPs in Spotify or Apple Music.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
